Join us on January 19th at Verity for an inspiring talk with the Artistic and General Director of the prestigious Canadian Stage Company.
Matthew Jocelyn:
Matthew Jocelyn was recently appointed Artistic and General Director of The Canadian Stage Company in Toronto.
Prior to his appointment, over the course of 10 years, Mr. Jocelyn was the Artistic and General Director of the Atelier du Rhin in Alsace, France. Under his leadership, he was responsible for establishing the organization as a major centre for multi-disciplinary arts in France. He has worked extensively as an arts administrator, producer and director of theatre, dance and opera, as a translator of plays and as an educator.
Mr. Jocelyn was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He earned a Bachelor of Arts at Mt. Allison University in New Brunswick and a Master of Arts at Montreal’s McGill University. He attended the Université d’Aix-en-Provence in France and Oxford University in England as a Rhodes Scholar.
